The minimum requirements for admission in Master in Maritime Business (MMB) program are as follows:
a. A Bachelor degree or its equivalent in any field including Maritime Science, Business, Engineering, Agriculture etc will be required.
b. Applicant with general education must have at least second division or CGPA 2.25 in all public examination.
c. Applicants with GCE must have passed at least five subjects in O level (including mathematics) and at least two subjects in A level. However, applicant having more than two ‘D’ grades in O level and/or more than one ‘D’ grades in A level shall not be eligible for admission.
d. Applicants having at least two years job experience shall be given preference.
Master in Maritime Business (MMB) program is conducted by the Department of Management under the Faculty of Maritime Business Studies (FMBS). MMB is a 2 years full time professional postgraduate program which is equally divided into four semesters. Total credits of this program are 60 including 6 credit thesis. Besides, regular courses, workshop, seminar, guest lectures and certificate courses on contemporary issues are arranged frequently for the students. The program also includes at least one field trip/study tour/industrial visit in each semester. In the last semester, students go abroad for international study tour. The duration of each semester is 26 weeks. Distribution of a semester is as follows:
